Airline man on 12 new theft counts

A former employee of Air New Zealand has appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland on 12 new charges of theft and falsifying wage sheets involving a total of $591,000. Michael John Storrie, aged 38, unemployed, of Pakuranga, had previously been charged with theft and making a false statement involving $191,389. The accused, whose name had been suppressed at earlier hearings, entered no plea to the charges and was remanded to June 28. He was allowed bail of $20,000, with two sureties each of $lO,OOO.
