Jack Pierce fit for Oamaru
Special correspondent Dunedin Jack Pierce looked in good order for his Oamaru engagement when he worked at Wingatui yesterday morning. He worked over a round on the sand (slushy) and sprinted his last 600 m in 39s He has a second and th’rd in his last two starts and looks on the verge of a win. Catastrophe and Hasuka ran 800 m in 52.35, the last 600 m in 38 9s Masterlea and Finalea tock 52.45. Sovereign Charles was showing clear of Laurel and Lady Link in 535.
