Another concert cancelled
PA Napierl The proposed Napier conIcert by the New Zealand bass singler, Noel Mangin, has been cancelled because of a lack of public interest. Mr Mangin was to have given a recital in the Hastings Municipal Theatre but this was transferred to the Napier Century Theatre because of poor bookings.
However on Friday it was decided to cancel the recital altogether because there were only 32 bookings. Mr Mangin, who has attracted an international reputation as an opera and recital singer, has also had a Hamilton concert cancelled because of lack of support.
