I.N.L awards advertising
PA Wellington Independent Newspapers, Ltd, will provide $lO,OOO in prize money for “The I.N.L. Newspaper Advertising Awards,” for 1979. “Our company, in announcing these annual awards, recognises the tremendously valuable contribution made to newspaper advertising by advertising agencies,” said the managing director (Mr J. A. Burnet).
“Many countries have special awards for newspaper advertising, and the I.N.L. awards will recognise creative advertising, and its effectivenes in terms of target audience to which the advertisement is directed,” he said. The awards would cover agency-prepared advertisements in any New Zealand daily or weekly newspaper, but not magazines. The detail of the awards would be released towards the end of this month.
