Ballot for sections
Sections in the Lake Tekapo village are still eagerly sought but the rush is not as great as it was three years ago, when 502 persons applied for 91 sections. Forty applications were received this week for 14 more sections made available by the Lands and Survey Department. A ballot will be held for the sections in Timaru today. Five of the applications are for the four permanent-home sections offered and 35 for 10 holiday-home sections.
