Cost of fluoridation
Sir, — My experiences with the City Council waterworks division this year have convinced me that the cost of introducing fluoridation to the city’s water supply may be a "factor in the exorbitant account I received for excess water usage. Consider that I am the only one using water and that I have done very little hosing to prevent the lawns growing too quickly, to lessen the need for mowing lawns ano slow up the growth ot weeds. To save electricity I have also saved thousands of gallons of
water by cutting down baths and clothes washing. Yet I received an account for $37 for excess water and I am advised that I have already exceeded next year’s. The allowable amount on the rates has been very much reduced and it will be a travesty of justice if fluoridation is behind these moves. We used very little excess watei when baths and hosing were the order of the day. 1 —Yours, etc., L. E. REID. May 7, 1979.
