Courses for cadets
The New Zealand Cadet Forces are holding a number of camps and coures during the May school holidays. Two Christchurch youths, Cadet Instructors M. Baker, and J. Cook, are attending a midshipmen’s course at H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, Auckland. Junior and senior N.C.O. courses are being held at Burnham Military Camp and 32 of the 115 boys attending will be from Christchurch cadet units. Of the 80 students going to a N.C.O. training at Wigram R.N.Z.A.I . base, 27 will he from the two Christchurch Air Training Corps squadrons. An A.T.C. gliding camp will also be held at Timaru.
