Probation move
The Probation Service will shift from its offices in St Elmo Courts in Hereford Street to the upper floor of Durham House on the corner Of Durham St and Lichfield Street in July. Ample room would be available for staff, and space for future expansion, said the District Probation Officer (Mr D. D. Leech). Staff ceilings had not been lifted recently. However, the number erf probation officers was expected to increase from 21 to 24 in October when three persons finished their university studies, he said.
