Canterbury’s water polo chances good
Though i e girls lost to Wellington A, both Canterbury secondary schools’ water polo teams have chances of taking national titles at Wellington today.
The girls’ first loss, 5-8, to Wellington A, came in a match rather closer than the score would indicate. The turning point came when Canterbury, trailing 3-4 in the third quarter, missed a penalty and it could not quite get back into the game. But the girls later easily accounted for Wellington B, 16-0. The boys had a very comfortable win against the much-improved Church College (Waikato) team, 12-2. It now faces Auckland this morning and an older and more experienced Wellington
