The directors of Harley and Company, Ltd, have recommended an increase in the final dividend from 6.5 c a share to 7c a share (7 per cent), increasing the annual! rate 0.5 c a share to 12c al share. This is after reporting that unaudited group net profit fell 3.5 per cent to $41,755 in the year to January 31. However, the company had to pay $12,353 more for tax at $42,844 because of the loss of the stock valuation j adjustment. The depreciation provision) was $783 higher at $13,449. ) The final dividend is payable on June 6, ex dividend on May 22, and the annual dividend of 12c a share requires $21,888. It is covered 1.9 times by the profit.
