Hong Kong reduction
NZPA Sydney Cheap air fares between Australia and Hong Kong, offering savings of about 30 per cent, will be announced soon.
The Federal Transport Minister, Mr P. Nixon, told a businessmen’s meeting in Sydney that a fare agreement had been reached with Hong Kong.
He would not discuss the exact fares but said the cuts would be in the order of 30 per cent, similar to the fare reductions agreed in principle with the A.S.E.A.N. countries.
Mr Nixon said he expected new cheap fare agreements with A.S.E.A.N. countries to finish about the end of July.
