Strong squash sides
Some strong Canterbury squash teams have been selected to play against Southern Districts in the annual representative match at Timaru on April 8. Rod Hayes, ranked No. 6 in New Zealand, heads the men’s team of 10 which also includes the talented 16-year-old Bumside junior, Jamie Bushell, and another fast-improving young player in Craig Hibbert The teams are: SENIOR Men: Bushell, Viv Hargreaves, Hayes, Hibbert, Barrie Matthews, Paul McFadzien, Don Preston, Lawrence Skurr, Nei! Rush, Chris Wasley. Reserves: Mike Grant, Mark Woodhead.
Women: Lyn Chamberlain, Kathy Graham, Agnes Huriwai, Meria Holland, Phil? ippa Idour, Lorna Symes. Reserve: Rosie Davies. Managers: Messrs L. G. Milne and D. M. Lawrie. UNDER 23 Men: Matthew Clements, Alan Corkin, Hamish Dowell, Gary Monk, Paul Monk, Lyndsay Walton. Reserve: Stuart Hargreaves. Manager: Mr V. J. W. Hargreaves.
