The Cholmondeley Childrens Home will benefit by $lOOO from “The Press" Garden City Golf Classia held last November. • The organisers of the event chose as their main fund-raising project the purchase of a defibrillator — a portable machine that, can be carried by ambulance and
■ used in the almost immedi? , ate treatment of people suffering from cardiac arrest. ’ Profits from the tourna--1 ment were in excess of $7OOO and after buying a s defibrillator, the organisers i still had a surplus of $lOOO. ■ They donated it to the Choli mondeley Home to be used s for the purchase of play--1 ground equipment.
