The Dental Unit is located within the Medical Division of the Commission, with the Dental Officer being responsible to the Medical Director. The appointee will ensure the efficient and economical functioning of the Dental Unit, including the Section in Auckland, and will consider and assess the reasonable cost of dental treatment of those who have suffered personal injury by accident involving dental problems. Other duties will include consultation with the Departments of Health and Social Welfare; liaison with Hospital Boards and individual practitioners; and assisting with the review of claim files. Considerable experience in advanced restorative dental procedures would be of advantage. Salary negotiable.
