No overtime
An overtime ban imposed by drivers of readymixed concrete trucks in Christchurch is still in force. The ban was imposed in support of a claim for an industry allowance to
compensate for irregular working hours. The secretary of the Canterbury Drivers’ Union (Mr P. G. Liggett) said on Monday that no date had been set for talks with the employers.
