Gang attacks youth
Four members of the Mongrel Mob gang were arrested after a youth was attacked in Cathedral Square last evening. They will appear in the Magistrate’s Court today charged with assault. A police spokesman said the youth, aged 18, had
been punched several times in the face, but had not been seriously injured. He had not needed medical treatment. The police had been unable to establish any motive for the attack, which occurred about 7 p.m., the spokesman said. Gang violence, Page 2
