Sir, — I remember once being “lumbered” by an inebriated “gentleman” who was determined to influence me towards helping him lower , the level in his bottle cf whisky. He used the same arguments that Paul Maling (December 17) does, i.e. if he thought anything was the right thing to do, then so should everybody else. — Yours, etc., V. ROSS, Ashburton.
