Roads Board budget $170M
PA Wellington The National Roads Board’s budget for 1979-80 will be a record SI7OM, said the Minister of Works and the board’s chairman (Mr W. L. Young) yesterday. “Assured finance is a cornerstone of the Government’s roading policy and with the announcement of the budget level for 1979-80 the National Roads Board and other reading authorities will, now be able to proceed with the orderly planning of their roading programmes.” Mr Young said the boardl would announce detailed allocations at its next meeting on February 21.
