' MAINTAINER Aged 18-26 and looking for a career. Applications gKtf are invited for the position of TRAINEE SIGNAL MAINTAINER ’HL at Railways Maintenance Depot at OTIRA. Preference will be given to applicants in the 18 to 26 year age group who have had a minimum of 3 years secondary education with some general science knowledge. The successful applicant will receive on the job VMi training from experienced staff and will be carrying out installation and wHft maintenance work on railway signalling equipment. PROSPECTS: Training Schools are conducted from time to time and trainee signal maintainers are required to attend these schools and to qualify by examination for promotion. Those who show that they have the necessary skills and application are promoted to automatic signal maintainer Grade 3. Further promotion to the positions of automatic signal maintainer Grade 2 and Grade 1, at some other locality is available for staff who obtain the necessary skills and experience.
