Kangaroo injured
NZPA Albi, France The Australian rugby league touring team lost the Queensland prop, Rod Morris, for Sunday’s Toulouse test after he was injured in yesterday’s extraordinary 20-5 loss to France Espoirs in Albi.
Morris fractured his left thumb and has been ruled out of the last two matches of the tour. The tourists had another referee to add to their scrapbook on French rugby league farces after Mr Roland Fielvard gave a huge 33-2 penalties against them at the Municipal Stadium yesterday. Fielvard penalised the tourists incessantly and the Perpignan full-back, Alain Touchagues, harvested them into 10 goals from 11 attempts, including one from halfway. The Espoirs “French Colts” never threatened Australia’s line during the game and Graham Eadie scored the only try of the match 7min into the second half.
