Share prices on the London Stock Exchange ad-; vanced on Friday, following; the rally on Wall Street. ' The “Financial Times” i index rose 4.7 points to: 486.2, a net gain of 6.3 points on the week. On Monday, share prices closed firm on the first day of the account, in the absence of any adverse news. There was little news to disturb trading during the week, and the market was satisfied with the third-quar-ter results of British Petroleum, its shares rising 20p 946 p on Friday.
