Crowd should kick itself
From KEVIN McMENAMIN
The noise of the crowd, Iwhich was anything but ! affectionate, enabled Richard I Wilson to kick his fourth ! successive penalty goal against Monmouthshire on jWednsday. Wilson said i yesterday that when he heard the crowd booing it just made him more deter-
mined. “I just felt that rhe best way to silence them was to kick the goals." he added. Wilson said he could not remember when he had kick-
ed as well in a first-class game and he could not recall landing five kicks — he added a conversion later —■ in one match. “It was probably my best effort since the Argentinian tour in 1976. Wilson was under some difficulty when trying to convert the last try, scored by Bruce Robertson. Youngsters in the crowd were snapping at his heels as he commenced his run-up and with his concentration interrupted he struck the ball off centre.
