Rhodesia 'will have coalition'
NZPA-Reuter Salisbury Rhodesia’s biracial transitional Government announced that a national government coalition of blacks and whites will be set up after majorityrule elections due to be held on April 20 next year. In a statement read to reporters by the white Prime Minister (Mr lan Smith), the transitional Government said a “government of national unity” would be necessary to assure political stability.
Every political party which emerged from the election in April with five or more seats in Parliament would be entitled to representation in the Cabinet, the statement said.
