Woman dies when car hits fence
A woman was found to be dead on arrival at Christchurch Hospital last evening after the car she was driving hit a fence on the corner of Latimer Square and Hereford Street, just after 11 o’clock. She was Dianna Margaret Rose Jarvis, aged 36, of 38 Mayfield Avenue, Christchurch.
The police said she died of natural causes and not as a result of the accident.
At 10.16 p.m., a car with four occupants, three males and one female, went into the Avon River outside 97 Locksley Avenue. Two ambulances attended the ac(cident. The four were treated [at Christchurch Hospital and [discharged.
