Late nights
Once the carnival is over, for most people it will be down to the business of final preparations for Christmas and the holiday season. Kaiapoi shoppers will have two late nights during Christmas week, on Thursday and Friday, December 21 a-H 22. Limited parking restrictions apply on parts of Williams street, the re-named main street through the town’s centre, but there is still ample free parking available nearby. Christmas decorations and repainting of the traffic bridge completed only last week, make the business areas look well ready for the festive season. The Businessmen’s Association has arranged for Father Christmas to be present to meet the children on December 21 and 22 from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. in the council’s showroom.
