Meal talks still frozen

Freezing workers have met throughout New Zealand since the talks were adjourned sine die in Christchurch on November 15. and have discussed what action they might take if the i employers do not increase i their last offer of 15 per (cent, inclusive of about 5.5 per cent to cover a wage order and cost-of-living adjustments. Kennedy) was in Invercargill yesterday to attend a sitting of the Arbitration Court. The Court is hearing a long-standing dispute and an appeal against a disputes committee decision. Both cases are connected with the Southland Frozen Meat Company. The management committee of the Canterbury branch of the union met' yesterday, but the branch secretary (Mr W. R. Cameron) said that no policy had been decided yet.
