A major step in land, rail, and road protection on Marlborough’s vulnerable east 'coast has been taken with; ' the purchase by the Land Settlement Board of the 742hectare Tawaho property for $335,000. The pronerty will be used in erosion-control] ! measures affecting the Washdyke Stream and the shmsle fans. 80km south of i Blenheim. — (P.A.). •
