D. Howard suspended
PA Wellington D. Howard was suspended for three riding day. to October 28. after the Rimu Hhurdles at Trentham on Saturday. After jumping the last fence Ginger Ale. the mount of Howard. moved in across the line of Raumai (M. Donoghue), causing the latter to be checked and to change ground to continue his run on the outside of Ginger Ale. As Raumai won the race and Ginger Ale was second no action with regard to placing was necessary. Howard was suspended from the end of the day’s racing. The committee took into account that it was Howard’s first offence under the interference rule.
