Sir, — It is rather a shame that some people do not expend a little more of their heat fighting for free State education as a basic right here in New Zealand. Are they aware that in New Zealand, education is regarded by the Education Department as a privilege, not a right? Are they aware that certain children, because the misfortune of their birth made them handicapped, are denied the fundamental right of free State education? Do they think that it is right
