Sir, — R. L. Pluck has acknowledged Selwyn as a safe seat for National, which is strange when the Labour candidate claims the seat to be marginal. If R. L. Pluck, at variance with the Labour candidate, is right and the seat is safe for National, why is Labour spending so much money in newspaper advertising, leaflets and hoardings? — Yours, etc., R. R.
