Sally Hughey was too consistent for Christine Taylor in the under 17 girls’ final at the Anderson and Hill junior tennis tournament at Wilding Park yesterday. Miss Hughey won 6-3. 6-4. In the boys’ under 17 final, Kent ended a run of upset wins by Stephen Baird, to win 6- 6-3. The under 19 girls’ section was won by Carolyn Oakley. That competition was played on a round robin basis. Results of finals were: Boys Under 17. —Singles: Agar beat Baird, 6-1, 6-3. Doubles: P. Beumelberg and D. McKinnel beat B. Hayman and Agar, 6-1, 6-4. Under 15.—Singles: B. Skjellerup beat A. Adair, 6-2, 6-1. Doubles: Adair and Skjellerup beat G. Ruston and D. McNaughton. 1-6. 6-4, 6-3. Under 13.—Singles: J. Honeywell beat G. Lawson, 9-5. Doubles: Lawson and J. Robinson beat .1. Adair and A. de Zwart, 9-7. Mixed doubles: J. Adair and J. Howe beat J. Robinson and L, Mason, 9-7. Girls Under 19.—Singles: C. Oakley, winner; J. Daly. runner-up. Doubles: Oakley and Brading, winners; Daly and A. Oughton, runners-up. Under 17.—Singles: Hughey beat Taylor, 6-3. 6-4. Doubles: Hughey and Taylor beat M. Hamilton and S. Rhodes, 6-2. 6-4. Under 15.—Singles; J. Taylor beat J. Pickering, 6-3, 6-0. Doubles: Taylor and Pickering beat A. Hughev and K. Drewitt 7- 6-3. Under 13.—Singles: J. Howe ■ beat R. Pearce. 9-2. Doubles: D. O’Malley and Pearce beat S. MejCormick and L. Mason, 9-5.
