An increase in membership ! has been sought by the Cash-1 [mere Club to help finance! [5380,000 alterations to the! [club’s premises. The Licensing Control [ Commission was told on : Tuesday that an increase of ■ 500 on the present membership of 2061 would allow an early start on the alterations. The changes to the club’s i premises in Colombo Street would include a dining room, : kitchen, games room and toile* facilities. : John Edward Ryan, a barrister and solicitor, told [the commission that the club! could finance the alterations: out of its revenue “in the’ fullness of time.” But an increase of 500 members would [give the club about $20,000!
