Injured child still very ill
The Bryndwr child who; was crushed by a bulldozer at the Waimairi tip last Wednesday is still in a poor) condition in the intensive; care unit at Christchurch! Hospital. Ursula Howley, aged! three, of 16 Hollyford Avenue, was sleeping in a push-; chair when a bulldozer re-1 versed over her. The child suffered severe; injuries to the lower part of; her body. Her condition de-; teriorated from fair to poor! at the week-end. The 10-year-old girl who' was run over by a train at Hornby last Wednesday was! discharged from Christ-! church Hospital yesterday. I
Carmel Anne Mills, of Range Road, West Melton, escaped with cuts, bruising,; and shock when she passed under the cow-catcher of a goods train and was dragged 15m along the track. The Christchurch schoolteacher who fell hundreds of metres down an icy slope at Mount Hutt on August 13 was yesterday transferred from Christchurch Hospital to Burwood Hospital. Miss Julie Standish, of 70. Purchas Street, St Albans was reported in a satisfactory condition last evening. She suffered severe head injuries and a fractured pelvis, in the accident.
