Runway costs sought
Costs of extending Christchurch Airport’s main runwav to 3350 m — required for international passenger flights — will be sought by the City Council soon. ' Changes will be needed in Harewood. Hacks and lessons roads when the exten-
sion is built, and Orchard Road will be extended to Shipleys Road After a firm estimate is received, the councilcan ask the Civil Aviation Division to include the project in its construction programme.
