lies strong about the coast but lighter inland; cool. Marlborough, Nelson: Rain becoming general and north-easterly winds increasing to become strong in exposed places; becoming cool. Buller, Westland: Scattered rain spreading slowly south during the day; easterly winds becoming strong in exposed places; moderate emperatures. Outlook: Rain in Canterbury, showers elsewhere.
