Trading disrupted

The Bank of N.S.W. lost 10c to 664 c, but the C.B.C. gained 5c to 200 c on a report of an improved profit. The main interest in the day’s share trading was a recovery by 8.H.P., and strong gains by a number of coal stocks. B.H.P. closed at 816 c after trading down to 812 c. White Industries has become the subject of a stock exchange query after an-

other rise of 18c to 311 c. The stock was trading at 230 c on August 15. Bellambi also leapt ahead, rising 26c to 586 c. Most of the leading mining stocks either eased or remained steady. The uraniums had a mixed day with E.Z. Industries closing steady at 320 c, Peko steady at 610 c, Pancontinetal down 50c to 1550 c, and Queensland mines steady at 317 c.
