Shamrock Quiltey (left) is the first purebred miniature Irish donkey to arrive in New Zealand. Kimberly Downs, Kimba for short, is bred from champion Australian stock and cost about $600. Shamrock Quiltey cost $5000. Mrs Mulligan who already has five donkeys, said the air freight from Australia cost $500.
