Tasman on its own
PA Auckland; ! Tasman Pulp and Paper, ! Company, Ltd, and the Bow-! | ater Corporation, have! agreed to terminate their! agreement on December 31, according to a statement by! the Tasman chairman (Mr R. R. Trotter), and the chairman of Bowater Paper Company, Ltd, (Mr Le Tutt). The sales and management services agreement was to terminate in December, 1979, and the earlier termination reflected mutually satisfactory and amicable negotiations, they said. All Bowater staff in New Zealand and all in Australia employed on Tasman business had been invited to join Tasman.
