Mururoa test monitored
The Health Department will keep a close eye on the possible effects on the environment from last month’s nuclear test on Mururoa Atoll. A scientist with the National Radiation Laboratory in Christchurch. Mr J. F. McCahon, said that as the test was made underground,’ the amount of fallout in New Zealand would be far less ihan would be the case had it been an atmospheric test.
