NZPA New York The New Zealand trotter, Petite E\ ander, driven by Edward Dunnigan, finished second in the Roosevelt International $200,000 trot in New York on Saturday night. Petite Evander came in three lengths and a half behind the winner, the United States representative Cold Comfort, driven by Pel er Haughton, aged 23. Nigel Craig finished sixth. The French pair, Eleazar, handled by Leopold Verroken, and Hadol du Vivier, driven by Jean-Rene Gougeon were third and fourth, followed by Charme Asserdal (Finland), driven by Heikki Korpi. Cold Comfort led all the way after the first furlong. The winner’s time of 2min 31.3 sec for the mile and three-quarters, equalled the international record set in 1966 by Armbro Flight, of Canada.
