“M.E.D. bill”
Sir, — Mr Moore’s "M.E.D. bill ’ can easily be proved correct. My last account was $138.62 for a normal-sized Summerhill stone house with 4in of roof insulation using three heaters of 2.400 watts, two with thermostats. We keep it at above 60 degrees F during the day and 54 degrees F in the hail at night (colder in the bedrooms). The house catches the sun in the living-rooms It is not being kept nearlv so warm throughout as our house in the United Kingdom with gas central heating and a colder climate. — Yours, etc.,
J. HOCKLEY, July 28, 1978.
