Arafat in Cuba
The Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, has left for Cuba, and informed Palestinian sources where quoted as saying the visit may presage a change in guerrilla tactics. The Palestine News Agency, W.A.F.A., reported briefly that Mr Arafat, chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organisation would attend a world youth and students’ festival in Cuba. Sources close to Mr Arafat said the visit, his second to Cuba, indicated that he has decided to “drop the olive branch.”—Beirut.
