Surprise in boxing
PA Auckland Lance Revlll last night won a surprise majority points decision in his light heavy-weight boxing contest with Rocky Solanoa at the Ponsonby rugby clubrooms. An enthusiastic and lively audience greeted the decision with a stunned silence, as most had thought Solanoa had clearly taken the contest. The bout, over eight 2min rounds and refereed by Mr Adolph Johanssen, was lively throughout and an entertaining spectacle.
