Mr Beetham’s bill
Sir, — It is a shame that as an independent member of Parliament, Mr Beetham wasted his impact on such an irrelevant bill as he introduced recently. His party and the Values Party both believe in proportional representation to ensure that democracy survives. When Values has its first members of Parliament we will ensure that our maiden speeches and bills apply themselves to establishing a sustainable economy, while developing what is left of democracy to halt our steady decline into dictatorship, Left or Righ wing. — Yours, etc., DON OFFWOOD. July 13, 1978.
