Man bashed, to death
PA Auckland An Auckland man was brutally bashed to death yesterday. It is believed he was being robbed at. the time. The man’s badly battered both was found in an alley in Burnley Terrace, Mount Eden at 4 a.m. He was Kenneth Warren, aged 52, a cleaner, of Mount Eden. Detective Inspector L. D.. Sinton, heading a 22-man
investigating team, said it was not clear if weapons had been used, or how many persons attacked Mr Warren. Mr Warren had been drinking at the EdenRoskill R.S-A. Club until 11.45 p.m. A taxi-driver found his body. A watch and a bag are the only items police believe were stolen. It is not known if Mr Warren was carrying a wallet.
