National chooses candidates
PA Taupo The National Party candidate for the marginal Taupo seat in the coming General Election is Mrs Lesley Miller, aged 34, a Radio New Zealand reporter. Four others had been Mrs Miller, mother of three sons, has lived in Tokoroa for 15 years. The present Taupo member Mr R. J. La Varis, will retire at the end of this Parliamentary session. An Education Departm e n t Correspondence .School teacher, Mr A. H. C. Perry, has been selected as National Party candidate for the Porirua electorate. Mr Perry, aged 58, is a chartered cost accountant and secretary. He has taught accounting at the Correspondence School for the last two years.
