Man caught
A man who decided to take advantage of the Christchurch Central Police Station's "hospitality” last evening. eventually received more |of it than he had bargained for. The man, aged 25, had been arrested earlier in the evening, after allegedly stealing a hypodermic syringe while undergoing treatment at Christchurch Hospital. The police were called and took him to the police station, where he was charged — and realsed on bail. He was later found rummaging through lockers in an office in another part of the building, according to a police spokesman. In his possession was a transistor radio, owned by a policeman.' ■as well as a chequebook and other items owned by a ■civilian visitor to the police club.
He was also charged in jconection with these alleged : offences, and spent the night iin the cells. He will appear in the Magistrate's Court
