Hard to find wool

Sir, — Mrs M. Carrol, a recent contributor to these columns (June 30) expressed disappointment about the difficulty experienced in her search for 100 per cent woollen garments. We do understand her problem and have tried over the years to carry an adequate stock of woollen apparel for outer and underwear. Indeed our stock of the latter is better this year than it has been for some time in the past. In view of this it is possible that we have not yet had the pleasure of a visit from Mrs Carrol and if she would care to telephone the undersigned every effort will be made to meet her requirements. We view it as a re-

sponsibility to try to help Mrs Carrol and others who may experience similar problems. We would draw attention to the fact that there is usually available quite a good variety of garments made from a mixture of wool and other fibres which also offer the benefit of warmth.—Yours, etc.,
