Human development course
Sir, — “Growing, Sharing, and Learning” is the title of the report by the Johnson committee on health and social education. Why does it have to be brought down to teen-age sexuality, etc. We all agree that society has a lot of problems and the Johnson report has given us a lot of ideas to think about and discuss. We parents are being asked to make submis-
sions. Surely it is not beyond our means to present a sensitive and informative programme covering the whole field of human relationships to meet the needs of especially those children and adults who would otherwise miss. Factual, accurate knowledge is desirable to human relationships and many parents do not feel equipped to meet this need. Social problems will not just go away, so unless we start somewhere nothing will ever improve.—Yours, etc., ANNE MARSHALL. Chairman, co-ordinating organisation of Parent Education. July 2, 1978.
