Injuries in juniors
Brisbane The manager of the Junior All Blacks, Mr Ray Harper, said last night that he would wait until today before deciding whether to call for a back replacement. The five-eighths, John Waldron, and a winger, Robert Kururangi, both left the field and were replaced during the Queensland match yesterday. Kururangi cut his left hand and required five stitches. He left the field after 30 minutes and was replaced by Paul Reilly. The main concern, however, is Waldron, who is believed to have pinched a nerve in his left shoulder. Waldron lasted only four minutes before being injured when tackling the burly Queensland wing, Paddy Batch. He was replaced by the reserve half-back, Richard Dunn.
